My Grandfathers farm. At this point, in 1969, he no longer raised livestock. The stock pens behind the barn were torn down. Originally the John Sander Farm, it passed to his son August Sander, and than in turn to Harry. Original land patent from the state was granted shortly after the Civil War. Approximately 200 acres at the time of photo. Primary crops were corn, soy bean, alfalfa, and sugar beets. My Dad used to land his Taylor Craft on the road and taxi up to the house, and the pheasant hunting was great.
