I grew up on this farm in the 1950s and 1960s. The main house on left was built in 1950 by my Dad, Donald Sullivan, with help of some neighbors. Previous to that, the family lived in an old house that Dad tore down, which had been located in the open area to the on the right side of the 1950s home. Dan and my mother Dell Miller married in 1938 and lived there. Mom died in 1964. In 1967, Dad married Cora Meade Teare and they lived there until selling the 160-acre farm in 1990, when they moved to Troy, MO. The large room addition on the right of the house was added in 1968. I think Cora is visible in dark pants, white top, standing on the right of what I think is a small tree on the right side of the house. A one-car unattached garage in right behind the house and then with some separation is the old Corso Post Office which my Dad built and he served as postmaster from maybe 1950 to 1978. Cora served as PO Officer in Charge then until maybe 1980 when the post office closed and Dad had the building moved on a flatbed truck to where it is seen here. This is on Corso Road, just west of Corso, MO, Lincoln County.

Thank you for sharing the wonderful history of your family's farm. It's fascinating to hear about the changes over the years. Do you remember anything specific about the year the photo was taken in 1985? We'd love to hear more about that time period or any changes made since. Thanks for being a part of Vintage Aerial!
