My grandfather, Frank Koziol, purchased this house and the farm across the road in 1945. This property was part of the enormous tract of land acquired by William Constable in 1791. In 1801 the property was sold to John McVicker. The McVicker family and the Constable family were related by marriage. The property was purchased by Arthur Carpenter in 1902. The original house burned in 1914 and the present structure was built at that time.
