Intersection of Steuben County routes 89 & 13, South across the road from the Mitchellsville Methodist Church. Just to the left is the Mitchellsville creek (not in photo). Back in the 1940's & 1950's, the creek was surrounded with alders and there were many places to hide while on recess from the Mitchellsville School, which was across the road and up in the right hand corner of this photo!

I think this is where we put a double wide mobile in 1962. Margaret Covell-Russell.

Also driveway went from one road, past the house & up to the other road.

Great place to grow up

This is the intersection when in 1952, a car came SPEEDING @ a VERY HIGH rate [from Wheeler heading toward Bath], when Steuben County was attempting to take down a tree. The Ford hardtop was converted to a convertible in about 1 second. (Very bad results) I was 9 years old, should not have seen what I saw, had no counselling, but thanks to my farm experience, I was able to digest and move on with what I saw.

This is also the intersection in front of the Methodist Church where Mr. Slater of the lower end of Cty Rt. 89 [Mitchellsville Hill Rd] met Our Lord.
