All buildings extant between Old Tarboro Road (upper photo) and Eagle Rock Road (lower right of photo). House at top right may no longer be standing, having been abandoned years ago.
Hello GJ,
Do you know what this building on the corner would have been used for?
The building at the right hand corner of the photograph appears to be two tobacco bulk barns with a tractor shed in the middle. Tobacco leaves were stored inside on rows and rows of poles to dry. Tobacco was the number 1 cash crop in North Carolina for decades.
