J M Wilburn farm on the east side of original New Hope Rd near the end at New Bern Ave. (Wilder’s Grove). His wife, Mrs Vena Wilburn was a career school teacher. Vena Wilburn Elementary School was named in her honor and she taught me there in the 5th grade when it opened in Sept 1963.

The house site is now part of a parking lot and the realigned New Hope Rd.
