This one of several homes that Jim Dixon, Bellaire Schools superintendent had moved out of the way of the interstate being built. The High Ridge Cemetery on CR 214 (High Ridge) is across the road, where the lane leads out of the picture. The two cement track lane going down beside the house originally went all the way down - across where I470 is being built here - to our Giffen family farm. We walked up that lane to wait on the bus many, many times, standing there, long before this home was moved here. I have a picture of a milk stand that used to sit in front of where this house is, where my Grandfather and great uncles sold fresh Jersey milk from the farm. Jim Dixon's granddaughter, Robin Hess, and her husband, Brian Blacker, have lived in this house most recently and made it a nice place.
