We currently live here! We are restoring the Wehr Homestead. It is a historically significant house in Butler County, Ohio history. It was a prominent tavern stop for hog drivers in it's early years. The Wehrs obtained the deed on September 21, 1820 and the home was complete in 1837-stone on side of the house dates it. The original porch was torn off sometime after the 1980s and a new porch built. There is a garage now on the right side of the light post that is in between the house and barn. The tree lined driveway unfortunately lost its trees because they were ash. The drive to the barn is all field now. In the foreground there would now be three homes situated along the road. That property was sold off in the early 80s. Aside from that, it's pretty much the same.
