I grew up in the next farm down the road but spent lots of time playing on this farm. Both farms were owned by the same person but rented out. Henry Case lived here and he and Jim Gorman farmed this property, 9750 and the Gorman farm in Evendale. The Jim Gorman Farm is currently a not for profit working farm that educates people on farming practice. At this farm they raised pigs, grew corn and hay. There were hundreds of little pigs in the spring. The buildings have sadly all been torn down.
I am fairly certain that my family lived in this farmhouse from approximately 1963-1967. My dad was a farmhand for Jim Gorman, and we lived in a farmhouse on one of his farms on Cincinnati-Dayton Road. I remember there was a road that ran next to our property, but I couldn't remember the name of it. Must be Gano Road. The aerial shot looks exactly like the property I remember. I can even see the pigs in the field across from the house! I was 1 when we moved there. Both of my sisters were born while we lived there. I registered to attend kindergarten at the old school down the road, but we moved before school started because my dad found another job. I have wondered for years about this farm, and now I have a photo of it. Thanks to whoever posted it.
