This was my folks farm (George and Dorothy Boerger) from 1948 until around 2005, when Mom sold it to a neighbor. The grain bin and the small farm shop building next to it are the only buildings that remain. The shop, being converted from a purpose built corn crib that sat near the road, was moved to a new foundation around 1975. All of us seven kids lived there through our school years at Ansonia Local. The first started in 1953, and the last graduated in 1981. In September of 1982, my Mom told me that she cried a bit the other day, because it was the first day of school, and it the first time in twenty-eight years that the school bus did not stop at that house.
