The 3K Mink Farm named after Kenneth, Kirk and Kermit Grose. The Groses bought the farm from William Zeigler in 1947. They maintained 400 females and 110 male mink and harvested 1800 pelts each year. The mink breeds they raised were Royal Pastel, Stewart Pastel, Sapphire, Silverblu, Aleutian and Swedish Topaz. The Swedish Topaz breed had been developed in 1954 and Queen Elizabeth is reported to have the first garment made from those skins.
