A lot of changes to explain in this photo! This is the present day corner of Rt 113 and Lowell St, Elyria. In 1963, this was Telegraph Rd (Rt 113) and the road curved south just to the left of this photo to run in front of the Church of the Open Door and continue on into South Amherst. When Telegraph Rd was rerouted into Elyria, this is the point where it changed course. Today the road curves north just to the left and ends at Rt 113, and this part of Telegraph Rd was renamed Lowell St.
Today Rt 113 runs right through the back yard. The farm looks mostly the same, it lost only the barn in the upper left. That hip roof barn at the end of the drive looks great.
