Nickle's produce stand, Rt 82 at Durkee Rd, Eaton. Everything is still there.

I grew up here from 1968 until I graduated Midview. Mom just passed away recently and the property will be sold.

It is my understanding that the house was originally a barn. It has no foundation, was built in the mid 1800s using six pole construction. It has hand hewn beams that dad discovered during his ongoing home improvements in the 60s and 70s.

We had a candy store and golf range until the mid 1970s. Neighborhood kids would ride their horses over to the store, so we have a couple of telephone poles horizontally mounted along the eastern edge of the driveway as a place to hitch the horses.

Hi, Lise. I notice the store has a "Day's Beverage" sign. Was the golf range a driving range or a miniature golf? I don't see anything in this photo.

I see on this 1981 photo of the house to the west there is a putting green for a golf course but it is not part of Brentwood Golf Club.

This was the Day Driving Range and candy store. The property was just sold in late 2022 and the house recently razed. Not p/o Brentwood Golf.
