Mail Pouch Tobacco Barn.
The pin on the map is centered on the rubble remains of the Mail Pouch barn in the photo above. The Mail Pouch barn is ID'd as MPB 35-60-11. I first visited this site to photograph the barn with my friend on Sept. 27, 1998. The barn had started to deteriorate by then. By early 2000's the barn was falling and my friend talked to the owner of the barn and the owner told him that if he took the barn down and cleaned up the site, he could have the Mail Pouch sign. In June 2003 my friend went to the site with a truck and large trailer and some help and he took the barn down and kept the Mail Pouch sign boards.
