John Martin Hopfinger and Jennie (Conley) Hopfinger homestead. The structure behind the house and close to the yard line on the right side is an actual log cabin built on the property before the two story home was moved to this location from where it originally sat, which was next to the original homestead on the river. Last family to live in the cabin was the Ambrose family. It was said to have been built by Charles Darr. John Hopfinger used it as a barn for his baby lambs. John and Jenny were my Gr. Grandparents and I have many memories of playing in the barn and buildings with my siblings and cousins. All the buildings are gone now except for the house.
