I believe this was the Bargain Barn listed in the 1959 rural directory.

Thanks. In 1959 the Welkers owned two adjacent properties on this east side of Rt 14. The Bargain Barn was two properties to the east and was described as a "pottery shop". It was the last listed property before the Deerfield city limit. Looking at the high altitude aerials there were no other large buildings until the church was built. It might have been a roadside stand.
