This was my grandfather’s store. I remember visiting it a few times as a kid. His home was just a few hundred yards away. I would walk back and forth. I remember him giving me a sweet treat every time I would show up. My parents and I lived in Southern California so we didn’t visit often because back then traveling across US was a heck of a chore. Only the rich flew at that time

I need to add some details so my post makes sense. My Grandmother was married to a Lawrence Green. They lived in Toledo.!That is where I got my middle name. He died when I was 3 days old. My grandmother Ester Green then quite amazingly married an unrelated Harley Green. Harley Green was a Rockhound and also owned this store. He is the only grandfather I knew. He was alive until I was a teenager if I remember correctly. Grandma continued living in their house. She passed away after I was married for several years. Sometime around 1993 she passed I believe. I don’t know the current situation of the store.
