I grew up on this farm. We moved there in 1957. I lived there till college when I moved to South Carolina in 1969. My parents lived there till they passed away in 1990. It was sold to a young couple who restored the farm house, eventually built a new garage and moved the old garage behind the big barn with the square silo. It has been maintained very well and is a very nice home and farm land.

My grandparents owned this farm until they passed away. This is the place where my parents were living when I was born. My sweetest memories are at this farm.
I was glad that the new owners did restore the home and property.

I was 12 when we moved to Hartford in July (I believe) of 1957. I lived there until 1965 and then back again in '69 to '71. The next farm west of us was the Motts who had 30 Shetland ponies we rode all summer long all those early years. Lightning, Sandy, and Dutch were the three mares we liked. Pat was the stallion and I rode him once - all the way back the lane to the woods and then back to the barn Whew! He flew. It was pretty scary! Margie Mott Motes now lives there with her husband John. Great memories.
