Martin Moister Estate, one of America's last privately owned amusement parks. Built by one Martin Moister, a wealthy Philadelphia electrical contractor from America's Gilded Age of the 1920s. Martin Moister owned Moister Steel Company and in 1929, he bought decorative tiles from Henry Mercer's Moravian Tile Works in Doylestown for his castle-themed water park. Located on Route232 (2nd Street Pike) through Wrightstown in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. From http://www.wrightstownlibrary.org/wri...
Yes, in 1984 my family owned the stone house next door. That is our 74 Nova in the driveway. Lots of great memories playing in the βfront yardβ most of which was the remnants of the estate.
It wasnβt an amusement park, just a private residence.
