I grew up here. This was the Francis farm in the Nineteenth Century. They lost it in the depression and it became the property of Emmitt Sipe. He died in 1953 and the original farm was in very bad shape. My dad, Orie Cutrell, bought it and built a prefab log house like several others in the neighborhood, which was mostly Mennonite at that time. There was a springhouse that we made into a greenhouse. Where the barn had been was the old barn hill which my brother Jim and I (Jon) took all the rocks out of and built a wall. In the bottom of the photo you can see a pond that was original to the farm and spring fed. To the left of that is the garden that my father and brother made. The Volkswagon in the parking lot was their car, not sure who the other one belongs to. In the top of the picture is the railroad cut. In 2015 Jim died and we sold the property to Don Johnson. He did a lot of remodeling on the house.
