McQuiston's gas station. Now a tanning salon.

I lived here. My grandparents built the grocery store and gas station. They raised 12 kids in the house behind the store. My father was born in the house. They also ran the farm. My father bought it from my grandmother around 1957. He didn't farm but added onto the store. My mother went to beauty school around 1969. They turned the back half of the store into a shop for my mother's salon.
The house is gone, it burnt. The barn has been torn down. My brother now owns it and his wife has a hair salon there now.

Hi Ann,
Thank you for the amazing history of this property! That's a lot of kids in that small house! Do you have a favorite memory from the property you would like to share?
