This is my dad's place, Thomas Erkinger Jr. 2301 Whitehead Rd. He is known by the locals as the Mayor of Mud Valley. The house was built in 1967, the garage in 1981, with an addition added after this picture in 1991. The trees are much bigger now and more numerous.

The pasture on this side of the road was an active dairy farm at the time of this photo, now is a crop farm. Area before the roads were paved was known as Mud Valley because during spring thaw and heavy rains, everything turned to mud. Someone called my Dad the Mayor and the name stuck. He was born next door at my Grandfathers house and lived in the area all his life. The area hasn't really changed much since 1986.
