This was the original home on the plantation that became the neighborhood called "Honeywood on the Potomac". The house was redone in stone at some point to match the stone fence. The slave quarters is still there. I grew up across the street.
I grew up on the farm next to here. It was owned by Bruce Van Wyke back then. My father used to do some work for him and spent alot of time there. Alot of the trees in this pic are now gone and the old slave quarters are in not as good of shape but I think the historical society has that building now. The stone work that was redone was long before my time. I have alot of fond memories of the house and grounds from when I was a small child. It is truly a beautiful property
