Holzhueter Farm 1977
Bought by Gordon Skalitzky in 1978

If you look closely on satellite. Skalitzky Bros planting corn!

My husband Gordon Skalitzky and I bought this farm in the fall of 1978 from Irvin Holzhueter. with possession to be active effective Jan 1979 but Mr. Holzhueter didn't want the house to sit empty so we moved in there in October and followed with the complete moving process in January. It was a perfect farm in Gordy's eyes, The land was relatively level in most areas and it had the space we needed to raise our children. It made my husband very happy and we found out that Mr. Holzhueter and Gordy's grandfather, Ervin Haberman were fishing buddies. :)

Well eventually the corn crib was taken down. Unfortunately, the open cattle shed was burned down when the pigshed was lit on fire. The cattle shed caught on fire too. Gordy put up a big silo in it's place. To house calves he started buying calf huts.
