This farm was owned and operated by my grandparents August and Ella Schwalbe. My grandfather had many diverse interests and besides being a working dairy farm they also ran a chicken hatchery and egg business, raised pork and eventually housed young livestock. When it was a dairy their milk was picked up in milk cans by Branch Cheese Factory.
