Spiritland cemetery, town of Almond in the upper left corner of picture. Hwy D and BB.

This building, located across the street from the old Spiritland Store, was originally an Almond, Wi country school. Some time in the 1950's or 60's the school closed and the building was used as a restaurant. There's a wonderful photo of it during it's restaurant days on the Wisconsin Historical Society's website. In 1973 or 74, the restaurant closed and it became a private residence--as it still is today. The evergreen trees have grown so thick and tall now---you can't see it from the street.

My dad planed those evergreens around the road side of the property, and built the garage. That's him by the corner of the garage, and their Chevy sedan in the driveway--I'm thinking it was a 1977 Impala.
