Comments

Currently owned by George C. Wellnitz Jr. who purchased the farm from Robert "Rip" Radcliffe in November of 1962 and began to farm the land in March of 1963.

My parents, Rip and Jean Radcliffe, farmed here from 1951-1963. My grandparents, Olaf and Anna Olson, farmed and raised their family here from the 1920's until the 1950's. One of the crops raised was tobacco. The farmhouse was one of the nicest in the area, with a beautiful wood staircase. Eagle School, a one-room schoolhouse was down the hill at the end of our property. We walked to school. In 1960 Yahara Valley School was built, which consolidated all the one-room schoolhouses in the countryside.
