This is the Nightingale Farm on the Hopkins Road. I believe the original member of the family to own it was Simeon. He was a fairly large grower of potatoes, plus he raised cattle. Later family members also raised peas. In fact, stationary pea viners were placed on this farm and used in harvesting the pea crop. Besides this large barn for cattle, they owned one on the Caribou Road overlooking the Aroostook River near the mouth of the Hopkins Road. Eventually, this farm became part of Wathen (Glendon) Farms. Not sure who owns it today. When we moved onto our farm up the road, Paul and Lois Nightingale lived in the house with their sons Paul Jr, Dale and Peter.

The other barn referred to in my first comment can be seen on Roll 33 Image 36. All of the structures on that image are gone, but a nice ranch-style home has been built on the lot. On the Hopkins Road property, the main house and the machine shop remain plus a Quonset-styled potato storage facility was built after this image was taken.
