I think this now owned by Mike and Jolene Graham on rt 11 Ashland and used to be a chicken farm back in late 50's
The chicken farm was owned at the end by Forrest Lovely. Ed and Marilyn Chase lived there in the 1960's
I grew up on that farm, but it was owned by my father, Vaughn Lovley. When we left Ashland, we rented the house to the Chase family. My mother, Betty Lovley raised the chickens, and my father raised potatoes.
Hi Forrest, thank you for sharing those memories! It sounds like your family had a wonderful farm. I'm curious, what was it like growing up in rural America during that time period? I can only imagine how different things were back then. Has the farm changed much over the years? -Alexis
