I grew up right around the corner. I went to this store almost every day.

Everyone in the neighborhood went to Charlie's store. It was a School bus stop. I remember going there with a few empty soda bottles to get penny candy.Sometimes it could take forever to decide how you wanted to send your 3¢ but he was patience. The store was exactly very scandalous back in the 50 and 60's because the owners Anna Downs and Charlie Morris weren't married.
The store has now been turned into a home but it's always be Charlie's Store to me
