This house is known by the name Moore-Bridgers house. The home was built in 1825 with hand hewn heart pine floor joists and wood siding and with originally a wood shake roof. The kitchen has been relocated and attached to the rear of the house. A small second floor is now storage but was originally two bedrooms. The surrounding land has been continuously farmed growing tobacco, corn, soy beans, wheat and other crops. Today a large percentage of the farm has been planted in pines. A relative of the original builders has significantly remodeled the home and resides there today. The house is listed on the county historical record. A one acre family cemetery is located behind the house with members of both the Moore family and the Bridgers family are buried.
