Northwest corner of Griggs Rd (foreground) and Rt 511 (background), Rochester. Still looks the same today. In the foreground you can see part of the cemetery of the Rochester Baptist Church.
The George Leber farm which was featured as mystery farm number 69 in the Wellington Enterprise on March 28, 1957. The article includes a nice aerial photo. The 116 acre farm was originally settled in the 1800s by Nehemiah Tinker. The Lebers bought it from Mr Ulmer in 1941.
Thanks to Cindy Kurpely of the Rochester Historical Society for providing the article. Search the Lorain County main page for "mystery" to see other farms featured.
