Sliman Lumber Co. on the north side of Rt 113 east of South Amherst. One of the oldest lumber companies around. I'm not sure exactly when it was founded, it was listed in 1954. The flat roofed brick building was the original one. The tall barn has a shed roof addition on the right today. The large open lumber shed is still there. The smaller one on the left was removed when the present day large buildings were built in the back, sometime in the 1980s.

Sliman Lumber was founded by my grandfather, Sam Sliman, and my Great Uncle Michael Sliman in 1948. It is still in operation serving Pro contractors and DIY'ers alike If you want a " real lumberyard" experience instead of a big box store, they are still open and thriving.
