Moved into this house when I was 3 years old 1972.

Hi Bethann! Thank you for sharing your memories with us. What was life like growing up in rural Ohio? Do you remember any special activities or events in the area during the late 60s/early 70s? We love hearing about the history of different regions. It's amazing to see how much has changed since the photo was taken in 1969. Kind Regards, -Alexis

Hello! We currently reside in this home and purchased it in 2010, we renovated and added many additions in 2015.

My parents bought this property from the Rice family in 1972. When we moved they bought it back from us because they loved the home so much. My dad made sure I always had a pony, some sheep, chickens and a collie dog. We Survived a blizzard down in the basement. My parents had a shower added in the basement around 1975. So many wonderful memories in that house.

We purchased this from Dave Rice, his wife passed and he moved to town. We currently raise cows, chickens, ducks, cats, a dog and four children. We love this home too, feel free to stop in if your in the area.

My parents had four children there too. We would LOVE to bring my mom by this summer when we are in Ohio to visit her to see the place. We can bring old pictures too. Thank you so much. My older sister thinks she carved her name in the β€œsecret attic” in her bedroom closet if it’s still there.

Awesome, see you this summer!

I lived in this house from 1972- 1978. We built many tunnels with the hay bales in that barn loft during the early 70s. I still have a scar from the barn slat roof demolition We used the upstairs side roof as our sun bathing area. Also enjoyed the apple tree on the east side of the house. Our parents tried to have a pond dug in the pasture area but ground was not conducive. We always kept the fence nicely painted.

Hi Brenda, thank you for sharing your memories of this property! Your comment really gave us a sense of what life was like on a farm in rural America during the 70s. I'm curious to know more about your childhood adventures. Did you have any favorite spots around the property? Have you visited the area since your family moved in the 70s? Thanks for engaging with Vintage Aerial -Alexis

Hi Jenny, thanks for your comment about your home on our Vintage Aerial photo! It's always exciting to hear from someone who lives on the property in the present day. What kind of additions and renovations have you made to the home and property? What has been your favorite project so far? Best regards, -Alexis

Hi Jenny, my sister and I are in Ohio visiting my mom and will be in the McCutchenville area tomorrow (Sunday 7/9) . Would it be ok if we came by in the afternoon? We are so excited.

Sure! What time? 3 pm work?

That is perfect. Thank you so much. We’ll bring some old photos you might enjoy of the house. Can’t wait to meet you and take my mom down memory lane. This will be such a special experience for us.
