Used to be the intersection on the east of Fremont, Hwy 10; now Hwy 96. Silverfield Cheese Factory in the foreground, lower left. Fireside Tavern to the right of if on the same side of the road. Across the road is the Amoco filling station/garage. The cheese factory is now gone, the only thing left standing is the round roofed warehouse. The tavern has been closed for years but the building has recently been sold and remodeled. Gas station is currently a Citgo with a Subway.
