I did grow up here. This was my Daddy (Grier Gober and Mama's farm. Route 1 Hiram, GA. My Daddy was a farmer. He raised chickens (10,000) of them. Cows and anything else to help his family. I can't tell if the road is paved. It was not when I grew up here. Those red dirt roads in GA. I have walked down that road many times bare foot. Picking wild plums off the bushes on the side of the road. We always had a big garden. I can't see it in the picture, but there was an old outhouse that Daddy used to store stuff in after we had a bathroom put in. It was simple life. We never had a lot of money, but there was food, a roof over our head and lots of love.
Grier Gober's old place, drying barn on left with chicken house in foreground. Well pump in front of house was the coldest and best after hauling hay!
House and all buildings are gone now - new house in it's place.
