My grandparents Henry and Emma Moeller's farm! It overlooked the Rock Creek to the south...at the turn of the century, Native Americans following the Creek would stop by the farm and trade for food and provisions. The farm was a wedding gift to my great-grandparents, Frank and Ida (Heller) Matthes, from her family. During the Great Depression, the family almost lost the farm, but my grandparents moved back home, took over the farm and made it a success and saved it.
The original drive way was the path that leads through the grove at the upper left--the south drive was added not long after my grandparents took ownership of the farm.
