George and Regina Wolcott's acreage. Previous to the house being built, the site was home to a one room school house. A larger multi-level school house was built on L road near Highway 77/275 and the existing older building was moved nearby to the Dick and Mary Vaughn farm. The house is built on the west bluff of the lower Elkhorn river valley along the gravel road that parallels the Chicago & North Western railroad tracks between Nickerson and Winslow.
