NW 12th and Cornhusker Highway. Lincoln Electric System's West Lincoln substation. It was one of the oldest substations in the Lincoln area with the brick building just to the left of the substation having "Loup River Public Power District" lettering on the east side of the building. This building dates itself (around 1930's) to the beginnings of public power districts in Nebraska. Nebraska is the only state in the US entirely served by public power districts. The substation is being decommissioned and dismantled as of this writing (05/08/24) and a new substation was built just behind the one in the photo.
