Marvin and Velva Mae Simmons raised their six children on this Holstein dairy and small grain farm. Through the years pigs, sheep and chickens would also grace the farm yard. Marvin (and friends) built this house in 1955-56. Silo was built in 1964. Through a government program they planted the shelter belt which included bountiful fruit trees and was a great habitat for wildlife.
