8020 Houston St. (Fulshear). Part of the original Churchill Fulshear, Jr. grant to The San Antonio and Aransas Password Railroad (1888), the 3 acre block was sold several times and eventually purchased in 1911 by Ruffin and Dell Wilson for $400. The house above was built in 1920, most likely by the Wilsons. The 3 acre parcel next door was purchased by Dell in 1925 for $500. By 1984 when this photo was taken, the land was owned by the McCann family trust. Today the house is abandoned and the 6 acres are once again for sale - this time for a cool $1,850,000.
