This facility sat on land owned by W.E. (Capt) Denny, a prominent Katy family. A land trace reveals this was used primarily for oil, gas, and power easements and mineral rights. The family homestead (1516 FM 1463 - it is no longer there) in addition to other houses on FM 1463 can be seen in the distance. The 'towers' in the far upper left corner of the photo are probably Hilcorp Energy Corporation.

The land is now the location of the Woodcreek Reserve subdivision.
