The original Katy Community Hospital on Pin Oak Rd, built in the early 80's. My daughter was born here when it was just a tiny little country hospital. Katy was growing so fast in the late 80's/early 90's that the hospital added a large maternity wing. My son was born in the new wing in the early 90's. The hospital was acquired by Memorial Hermann and became Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital in 1999. They moved to their new location on the north side of 1-10 just west of Grand Parkway in 2006. The old hospital sits empty now.
