23200 Clay Rd. Now owned by D.R. Horton Texas LTD homebuilders and part of the master planned Ventana Lakes, this land was purchased by Dale and Irene Minze in 1956. The Minze's were rice and cattle farmers, switching later from cattle to soybeans and grain sorghum (details from Historic Katy: An Illustrated History by Carol Adams).

The farm home and outbuildings were gone by 2002 and the barn (lower right corner of photo) was gone by 2014.
