House used to be owned by a blacksmith who operated out of the wider portion of the shop / steel building. My brother in law owns the hosue now. Those Pecan trees are massive and two grown men can not join hands around the trunks. The man who owned it (the blacksmith) was quite the fabricator. If you look at the tall portion of the shop, there is a elevated arm coming off each side near the edge of the roofline. Those weights on it are old John Deere B flywheels fixed to a pipe that is ran to a crossbar. Inside is an old gear hand winch system to raise and lower the door and those act as counterweights so the door goes up on its own and you crank it back down.
