11 Harper St, Honea Path Dr. J. F. and Mrs. Emma Jane (Clinkscales) Shirley built this house in 1906. Dr. Shirley died in 1930. Mrs. Shirley died in 1958. John and Mary Susan (Pierce) Johnson bought it from M. C. Woodson on April 11, 1973. The Johnsons remodeled the home and lived in it until his death in 2018. Mrs. Johnson lived there until 2020 when she moved to an assited living facility. It was sold to Robbie and Pamela Garrett in 2022 before Mrs. Johnson's death. Per her wishes, there was no obituary or service, so her exact date of death is unknown. Mrs. Johnson and her sister Jean Watso were teachers at Honea Path Middle School
