This is Grandma Herbruck's house I believe. If it is next to Herbruck's Cheese Counter, it is her house for sure. I called her Grandma Herbruck but she was actually my Aunt Marilyn "JO" (Flowers) Herbruck mother-in-law. Harry "Jr" Herbruck was Grandma Herbruck's son, my uncle by marriage. Ester (Herbruck) Bailey was also Grandma Herbruck's daughter and later Ester and her husband helped run the family business - Herbruck's Cheese Counter. My uncle Harry and Aunt Marilyn Herbruck went on to expand in Grand Rapids area with their family farm, Herbruck's Poultry Farm. Maybe some remember seeing "Herbie" the Egg trucks. They are a major leader in egg production in the US and so much more. I have vivid memories of Grandma Herbruck, her beautiful hair, her wonderful smile and of course the best store to visit and sample the best cheeses/meats and more. I wish it was still in operation as the gifts, toys, treats were amazing as well. This house would be just south, on Old Business Hwy 27, of the VFW Hall in St Johns, Michigan. Cross roads would be Walker Rd/US-27 and Kinley Rd/US-27. .
