I beleive this entire location is a church, the road it's facing is 78/Lavon. There has been substantial growth to the surrounding area since 1991. At the time, 78 was a two lane road with light traffic. 78/Lavon is now six lanes and get fairly congested at times.

Building in the bottom center is a Carpet/Flooring shop, probably as it was in 1991. In 1991, 78 would have been two lanes with light traffic. There's been a lot of development in the area since then, both retail and residential, and the road is six lanes with traffic jams at certain times of day. Some of the growth occurred in the 90's but the majority of it was after 2005 when Firewheel mall opened nearby.

Shopping plaza is still there, the Pier 1 has been a Petco for at least a decade, the building on center left was a chinese restaurant for a very long time, it closed and now a tex-mex place is there. The building in the background was known as Doctors Hospital at the time.

City of Dallas along Garland Road (78), McShans is still there, there been a bit of growth in the area and it's set for redevelopment. I got flowers from them once when I was in the hospital as a kid, never knew who sent them.

Motel is still there, they had a fire several years back that destroyed the small building to the left of the entrance. Interesting for it's intact mid-century architecture, but it's an unsavory place.

1991, the building on the left is TC shaved ice, they moved up the street a few address around 1995 and another shaved ice place went in. Zoo music was across Garland within a few years. The building on the left has since been demolished. City of Garland, on Garland road, north of Miller road.

Wet n Wild water park Garland Texas, when six flags bought out the company they closed this location almost immediately. It was promptly torn down and CarMax was built where it once was. There was a tunnel under the road that connected the parking lot to the park entrance.
