This is Immanuel Lutheran Church of Lien Twp, Grant County. Founded by Norwegian Lutheran immigrants in 1870, it closed in 1998. The building is still used for occasional services or musical gatherings.

The Blixrud farm was homesteaded in 1871 by Jens Neilson Blixrud, a Norwegian immigrant, who built the house visible here to replace the original log home. His son John Benjamin Blixrud farmed after Jens' death in 1909 until John's son Thomas C Blixrud took over in 1950. The building site changed ownership in the 1980/90s and the only structure remaining is the large machine shed in the center of the photo. A lovely brick family residence and a large grain handling system now occupy this homesite.
