My grandmother’s house sits directly behind the First Baptist church. I grew up in this church. The Southern Bell building to the right of the church was eventually an annex of the church. Sitting directly behind the southern bell building is the house I lived in when first married, a year after the photo was taken. To the right of my former home is the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office & Jail. My grandaddy, T. Carroll was Deputy Sheriff when this location was built. The flower shop can be seen in the left hand corner which would soon become the home of Susie’s Pizza. Later on, my now ex-husband and I would work their part time for several years.

Swafford’s Exxon in front, McKinney’s Drugstore to the left of the gas station. Wayne Seals Body shop was with Mack’s Auto Parts (my daddy’s shop)

The Dairy Queen!! Lots of great memories of visiting as a child and looking forward to being a teen while watching them cruise the parking lot and sit on “Denton Hill” across the street.
